Hi there! Thanks for stopping by and taking the opportunity to learn a little bit more about me! I’m currently a fourth year student at Wentworth Institute of Technology in Boston, Massachusetts with intent to graduate with a Bachelors of Science in Industrial Design in 2026.
I grew up in Maine with an adoration for art, community, and the outdoors. This has impacted my life in such an insurmountable way that I can only hope to share with others in the future. I value the environment, for what it gives to us and how it supports us, so I do my best to respect and honor it in everything I do.
Ever since I was a little kid, I’ve always loved making things to keep myself occupied and solving little problems that came up here and there. I vividly remember taking my weekly browse through the recycle bin before my dad put it out so I could steal the cardboard, plastic and other miscellaneous materials to use for building furniture for my dollhouse and games for myself. As I got a bit older I spent more time on my computer searching for free websites to create floor plans, designing rooms and houses, then creating business cards and websites for my parents and family friends whenever I could – offering headshots and portraits to go along with. In high school I took advantage of as many art classes as I could, exploring painting, drawing, ceramics, printmaking, graphic design and photography, both digital and film. Although I had always had an affinity for creativity and the arts, I was also fascinated by science, so pursuing a future that can combine both of those fields is something that truly inspires me.
In the last 3 years of my program, I’ve already had the opportunity to learn the principles of design, the importance of iterations and fine craftsmanship, how to properly sketch and render both on paper and digitally, many digital modeling softwares and programs, the fundamentals of color and composition, an understanding of user research and relevant application, information architecture and composed presentations, as well as many woodworking, metalworking, plastic forming and other fundamental model making skills.
I am eager to see what the next steps are in my journey are and am open to any and all experiences and perspectives I may gain along the way!
Thank you so much for taking the time to read a brief summary of who I am and where I’ve been, hopefully we can connect sometime and see what’s next to come!
